10 Hindu commandments

There are 10 commandments in Hindu which should be followed by every Hindu. These are:

  1. Truth: Always says the truth, follow the path of truth.
  2. Non Violence: Never injuring others by your action.
  3. Brahmacharya: Controlling lust by remaining unmarried.
  4. Asteya: There should be no desire to possess.
  5. Aparigraha (Non-corrupt): No corruption, always be honest.
  6. Cleanliness: There should be no impurities in body, mind.
  7. Contentment: A state or Feeling so satisfaction.
  8. Mitahara: Never eating meat, fish, fowl or eggs.
  9. Compassion: Always show pity to all human beings.
  10. Regular prayers: Bow down to God and pray for a healthy life every single day.

It cannot be commandments. In Hindu there is no such word as commandments as far as I know. It could be suggestions.

Hinduism doesn't believe in commandments ,rather sanatan dharma believes in guidance and suggestions as we human have brains to analyze what is right and what is wrong.
Commandments are Abrahamic concepts where is everything is dictative and if anyone goes against it they are bound to get punishments whereas in sanatan dharma i.e. hinduism is strong believer of concept of KARMA what you sow shall you reap.
