Animal Sacrifice (Bali Pratha) in some of Hindu sects.

Food habits, dress sense it is for culture. Culture changes by region to region if a person living in tundra region or a place that is to much salty and we are saying you should eat only veg he will die due to starving. So it is foolishness of we are saying someone to leave his culture. But Dharma remains the same. One should follow Dharma may be culture or religion or region may be different. may be religion is different, culture may be different but Dharma remain the same. Teachings of Dharma remain the same. Name of God changes, rituals changes, mode of worship changes, language changes, food habits changes, dress wearing changes according to culture and religion but Dharma remain the same.

Now what is Dharma :

Dharma (Sanskrit: "way of righteousness." From dhri, "to sustain; carry, hold.") refers to the underlying order in nature and human life and behavior considered to be in accord with that order. The word Dharma is used to mean nyaya (Justice), what is right in a given circumstance, moral values of life, pious obligations of individuals, righteous conduct in every sphere of activity, being helpful to other living beings, giving charity to individuals in need of it or to a public cause or alms to the needy, natural qualities or characteristics or properties of living beings and things, duty and law as also constitutional law. Dharma is the law that maintains the cosmic order as well as the individual and social order. Dharma sustains human life in harmony with nature. When we follow dharma, we are in conformity with the law that sustains the universe.

Animal sacrifice is not according to Dharma nor any scripture says to do so. sacrifice whose aim at purification of the mind and body and permanent fruits like the eventual liberation from worldly existence.
Animal sacrifice came into existence in Hinduism is due to mingle of many other tribes in Hinduism who practice Animal sacrifice and after foreign invades of Hunas, Greeks, Arabs etc Animal sacrifice is widely spread across India and made a nail in Hinduism also.
Various sects starting animal sacrifices.

Scriptures say that Atman in an animal and that in human being are absolutely alike. The atman is the reason why emotions like pleasure and pain are experienced in amboided state. Animals have comparable to that of human beings compassion is the one of the noble quality of Human, The killing of animals goes against the God given emotion of compassion. Our scriptures prescribe a heavy punishment for torture or killing of innocent animals.

Animal sacrifice is against the dharma, It is also against Shastras. The practice of killing animals crept into some parts of Hinduism is due to literal and totally perverse interpretation of vedic symbolism. Animal sacrifices will not yield any fruit whatsoever. Those who torture or kill animals have to pay a heavy price of their sins. people with baser rajasic and tamsic gunas indulge in animal sacrifices.

I am also Hindu ,i too oppose killing of animals for appeasing gods. Its superstitious and tradition followed from ages .God never asked for Bali (killing) of animals. But if we think in different way daily we kill thousands of animals like cow, goat, chicken, fish etc for our food creating global warming.People are carelessness and unaware about this.More than Hindus,Christians and Muslims eat lot of meat. Most probably we prefer veggies.
