Dogri language is spoken in Jammu and Kashmir. It is basically an Indo-Aryan language and popular in some parts of Pakistan too. Some of the population in Himachal Pradesh also speaks Dogri.

It is also currently listed in the Western Pahari group of languages. Before it gained a language status, it was classified being one of the varieties of Punjabi. Two of the famous varieties are Doabi and Majhi.
