In Ramayana Shatrughna was married to Kushadhwaja's daughter Shrutakirti. Kushadhwaja was the younger brother of Janaki. So Shrutakirti was a cousin of Sita.

The couple had two sons - Shatrughati and Subahu.

There are three Shatrughna temples in India. One is in Thrissur district of Kerala. The other two are in Rishikesh and Mathura.
