Hello!
There are reports that eating garlic reduces the frequency and severity of the common cold. I also read garlic is good for cardiovascular problems due to its blood pressure lowering effects, blood lipid lowering effects and its anticoagulant properties. It is believed to treat cancer, and helps fight hepatic and microbial infections.
What ayurveda says concerning garlic?

Yes Garlic(distant cousin to chives and onions) is very good for health! because garlic is filter our blood and avoid sickness. It is best to taking in cold environment.

Garlic is one of the gifts from god thou Garlic shouldn't be consumed by brahmins. There is much to say about garlic and proverbs reflecting its importance and quality such as garlic is as good as 10 mothers and garlic a day keeps disease at bay. In addition, it is considered a miracle by naturopaths and herbalists. Various studies have shown that garlic is good for health and is beneficial in curing various health problems.

Generally, stronger taste of garlic cloves over the sulfur content and hence more medicinal value, it is likely to have. Some people have suggested that organic garlic tends towards a higher sulfur content and therefore more beneficial to health.

It contains sulfur compounds that thin the blood. A substance called dially disulfide prevents platelets from sticking together and clotting, thereby promoting more efficient flow of blood.
