The Ganesh names are unlimited according to the Hindu religious scholars and pandit. These names reflect all the powers and qualities of this beloved god. On the other hand, the devotees of Ganesha think that these kinds of powers have no particular limitation.



Most of the Hindu devotees take keen interest in understanding the names and its meaning according to the religious aspects. The four Ganesh incarnations according to the Ganesha Purâna that came on earth during the different yuga or periods, in order to strongly fight the devils. They are:

‘Mahotkata’, came during the Krita Yuga to kill the demons Narântak and Devântak. He came seated on a lion with ten arms and shining like the sun.
‘Shri Mayureshvar’, white-colored comes during the Treta Yuga riding the peacock, with six arms, faced the demon Sindhu.
‘Shri Gajânana’, red-colored comes during the Dwapara Yuga mounted on his rat,with four arms, destroyed the demon Sindur.
‘Dhûmraketu’, smoke-colored who will come in the future during the Kali Yuga with Two-arms riding on a blue horse. This Ganesha will fight all the devils in order to restore harmony and peace in the world.
All these four Ganesh incarnation have equal importance according to Hindu religious script. The Hindu religious scholars and pundits make the devotees understand the importance of these four incarnations.
