Marriage Ceremony Entry Of Sri Rama Into The Canopy :-
King Janak offered a seat to Dashrath and worshipped Vashishta like a god. He then offered seats to Vishwamitra and other sages, with all the respect.

When the auspicious moment for marriage arrived, Vashishta requested Satanand to summon Sita.

Sita came accompanied by her companions. As soon as she entered the canopy, the Brahmins commenced the worship of Gauri and Ganesh. Other deities were also worshipped. All the deities appeared there in person and gave blessings. The Sun manifested himself to give instructions on the traditions of Suryavansha.

After all these rituals, Sita and Sri Rama were made to sit in such a way that they could see each other.

After the accomplishment of marriage ceremony, the time for Sita's departure came. On the instructions of Vashishta, Bharat, Laxmana and Shatrughana were married to Mandavi, Urmila and Shrutikeerti respectively.

FOODS AND DELICACIES SERVED TO THE GUESTS

While the members of the marriage procession were having food, the women folk sang traditional songs. All the varieties of delicacies were served. After the feast was over, the guests were offered betel leaves and nuts. This tradition is still followed in many parts of India.

King Dashrath said to Vishwamitra that as the marriage ceremony was over so now it was time for making donations to the Brahmins. Hearing about the making of donations, even the divine sages like Narad, Vamadev, Valmiki and Yagyavalka came and received donations from Dashrath. Every one blessed the newly wed couple before departing.
