Religion and Dharma both are different. Religion is something which is founded by someone and followed by a group of people. Religion has a one symbol, one God, one slogan. But Dharma is the way of life which is followed since ancient time i.e, from the beginning of mankind. Dharma is based on the principle of truth and Dharma is based on human's life stages like birth, childhood, youth, old age and death.

The word Dharma comes from Sanskrit word Dhri and it means 'without which nothing can stand.' It also means harmony and stability of the universe. It is not related to any specific form of worship while in religion people follow a God.
