Chinese astrology is an ancient way to determine essential character differences in people. There are 12 signs and each are personified through animals. Unlike western astrological signs, which are determined by month and day of birth, Chinese astrological signs are determined by year of birth.

Chinese astrology was expanded at the time of Zhou dynasty (1046–256 BC ) and it progressively succeeded during the Han Dynasty (2nd century BC to 2nd century AD). There are 5 classical planets are associated with the Wu Xing:
– Venus—Metal (White Tiger)
– Jupiter—Wood (Azure Dragon)
– Mercury—Water (Black Tortoise)
– Mars—Fire (Vermilion Bird)
– Saturn—Earth (Yellow Dragon)
