The Modhera Sun Temple in Mehsana district of Gujarat was built by Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty after 1026-27 CE. It is currently being maintained by Archaeological Survey of India. It is dedicated to the Hindu Sun God but presently no worship is offered.

The Sun Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the solar deity Surya located at Modhera village of Mehsana district, Gujarat, India. It is situated on the bank of the river Pushpavati.

This temple is Built after 1026-27 CE during the reign of Bhima I of the Chalukya dynasty.

It is a beautiful, UNESCO world heritage sites in India and Famous hindu Temples of Gujarat
