There is one story that says peacock feather contains all the seven colors just like the universe. Lord Krishna wears it to signify the complete range of colors is in him.

I have read that male peacock signifies symbol of romantic love and the rasalila phase of life of Lord Krishna teaches how such love can be directed to God.

Lord Krishna was born in Kaal sarpa yog and this is a serious condition in one's life. Such yog is when the seven planets in one's horoscope are placed in between Rahu and Ketu. Rahu represents snake head while the snake tail is represented by Ketu. Krishna's father was suggested that his son should always keep a peacock feathers. He made a crown of peacock feather for Krishna.

Peacock is enemy of snake.

Yes. This is the reason only Krishna wore peacock feather and his elder brother Balraam use to wear gold crown.

It is also believed peacock feather got mystic powers. It can nullify curses and magic spells. When Krishna was a child, he was attacked by demons several times. His parents thereafter made a crown of peacock feathers for him.
