It is a story of the victory of good over evil in which Shriram killed the arrogant demon king Ravana to protect his wife Sita. This epic contains many sermons related to Hindu culture and it gives us the true meaning of duty, love, loyalty, courage.

Four Vedas, the source books of Hinduism, reveals the 4 core cosmic principles / laws, Integrity, Authenticity, Responsibility and Enriching oneself and the world.

Ramayan is the epic of how an Incarnation, the embodiment of divinity, lived these cosmic principles and demonstrated that it is possible and that is how the living being on planet Earth should live, for fulfilling the very purpose of assuming the human form.

Kahat Kabir suno bhai sadho, Pran jaae par Vachan Na jaai.

This verse sung by St. Kabir is the message of Ramayana, that, if you are faced with the situation where you have to choose between Integrity and give up the body, choose Integrity.

Question arises, why!?

Learn and practice Hinduism, Hinduism is pure life science, the cosmic principles.

Both Rama and Ravana were the worshippers of the Shivalingam. However Rama had a virtuous conduct and behavior and never let his desires override his virtuous conduct. Ravana was vicious and acted under the dictates of his cravings for pleasure and power, overriding his knowledge of virtuous conduct, This resulted in inauspiciousness for him and his eventual defeat.

Ravana had performed many hard austerities to gain strength, but performance of virtues and virtuous conduct is also a great austerity in itself, and this is why Rama was stronger than Ravana.
