Maharshi Parashara was the father of Ved Vyasa. He was the grandson of Vasishtha and it is said he authored the Vishnu Purana, the first Purana.
Satyavati was his mother.
It is said Ved Vyasa had written the Shiva Purana, which is part of the Shaivism literature corpus. It centers around Lord Shiva and his wife Goddess Parvati.
Ved Vyasa was the father of Pandu. His other three sons were Vidura, Shuka and Dhritarashtra. He had authored Mahabharata and was one of the seven Chiranjivins.
Shantanu, the descendant of Bharata race, was the husband of Ganga. He aws the father of Bhisma and great-grandfather of the Kauravas and Pandavas of Mahabharata.
Shrutakirti was the wife of Shatrughna. She was the daughter of Kushadhwaja, who was brother of Janaka, the father of Sita. So she was the cousin of Sita. Her own sister was Mandavi.
Raja Dasharatha of Raghuvansha dynasty had three wives - Kausalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra.
Kaushalya was from Megadha kingdom, Sumitra from Kashi kingdom and Kaikeyi from Kekeya kingdom.
Sumitra was the mother of Lakshmana and Shatrughna. Both were twins. She was one of the three wives of King Dasharatha and the wisest too. She encouraged Lakshmana to accompany elder brother Rama during his 14 years of exile.
Kausalya was the mother of Lord Rama. She was the wife of King Dasharatha. She was the eldest queen of Ayodhya and daughter of King Sukaushal and Queen Amritaprabha.
After Rama was sent to exile his father Dasaratha died in grief. Kaikeyi blamed herself for the death. Kaikeyi's son Bharata too blamed her for his father's death. He vowed not to ever address her as a mother. He also cursed that no father will ever name his daughter as Kaikeyi.
Manthara was a maid in Ramayana. She is portrayed as a cunning woman and a form of Goddess Saraswati and incarnation of Alakshmi. She created hurdles in establishing Rama Rajya on earth. She convinced Kaikeyi, mother of Bharata, that Rama should be exiled from the kingdom.
Raghu was Aja's father. Raghu was king of Ikshvaku dynasty. Aja was the Maharaja of Kosala, the 38th king of the Solar Dynasty. His capital was Ayodhya. His son was Dasaratha.
Sugriva had two wives - Ruma and Tara.
Tara was the wife of his younger brother Vali. She became empress of the Vanara kingdom after the death of Vali.
Surpanakha was married. She had secretly married to Vidyutjihva, the Danava prince of the Kaikeya Danava clan. Ravana was angry following the marriage as the Danavas were mortal enemies of Rakshasas.
In the Sanghadasa's Jaina version of Ramayana, she is said to be a daughter of Ravana. The same has also been mentioned in the Adbhuta Ramayana. She was born from Vidyadhara Maya.
Ved Vyasa has been credited as the compiler of the ancient text, the Puranas, which covers Indian literature about topics like legends, myths and other traditional lore.
