Aham brahmasmi means "I am God." Tatvamasi means "You are that" or "It's you."
Aham brahmasmi tatvamasi is a Sanskrit phrase and Brahman is the infinite reality.
The divine is there within everyone, but it is only in the realized master that the divinity is totally unveiled through virtuous conduct, worship, meditation and spiritual exercises of awareness/ mindfulness and compassion.
Such enlightened sages are considered auspicious, hence the reason why people visit such sages in India.
Such enlightenment or Buddhahood is attained through great austerity and disciplined work.
Even though divinity is there in all human beings, there are many who through ignorance indulge in vices, and accumulate greater karma and inauspiciousness within themselves.
