According to Mahabharat, there was a battle among Yadav and ended up by killing each other. Krishna went to the forest and started meditation. Then a hunter named Jara mistaken and shooted an arrow to Krishna which injured him badly and Krishna dies. But Krishna forgives Jara and departed from this world.
