Angkor Wat is an ancient temple, built in early 12th century during the Khmer Empire dynasty. In Khmer the word Angkor Wat means Temple City. In the era Angkor was city of Cambodia. It is also known as Nokor Wat.
However, the original name of Angkor Wat was Vrah Viṣṇuloka or Parama Visnuloka, which means sacred dwelling place of Lord Vishnu.
