Abhaneri is a historic place located about 62 miles away from Jaipur. It is a little isolated location being little away from the highway that goes to Agra. The monuments of that area are badly damaged since centuries.

Tourists still love to visit a historical place like this as it constitutes many beautiful remains of the history of India. The relics belong to the style of Gurjara-Pratihara. The main sculpture is the Chand Baoli that is a pond which has 15 stories in itself. This monument belongs to the 8th century making it turn out quite historical and interesting.

There are many blocks of stone carved into the designs of gods and goddesses. They are also sculptured into various designs of ornaments as well that appear really beautiful.

The depiction of lord Ganesha has been noticed in many sculptures primarily. The images of lord Ganesha is carved on the lintel of marbel. One of the images shows Lord Ganesha dancing with his wives Riddhi and Siddhi. Also the image of Lord Shiva, father of Lord Ganesha is carved on the stones. One of the interesting images shows lord Shiva dancing with his two sons lord Ganesha and lord Katikeya escorting him.

The amazing wall painting or rather a fresco of the three gods Ganesha, Gajalakshmi and Kubera at the Amber museum are eye catching. Out of the three gods depicted here, Kubera is known as the god of underground treasures. According to the historians and Hindu religious scholars, this particular place holds lot of significance to the Ganesha devotees.
