War between Andhak and Lord Shiva

Andhak attacked Shiva with a mighty army. However Shiva’s army was stronger and the Asuras began to suffer casualties. But Shukracharya knew the art of mritsanjivni, or bringing people to life. He restored the Demons as soon as they died. Therefore Shiva swallowed Shukracharya for the duration of the battle, which lasted for 2,800 years. Finally the duel between Andhak and Shiva took place and Shiva speared Andhak on his trident and held him aloft. Andhak asked for forgiveness and Shiva included him among his followers.

There was a war between Andhak and Shiva because of Parvathi. Andhak wanted to abduct parvathi. Andhak was born beacuse of Shiva's sweat which was oozed out of parvati's hand. Later, Hiranyaksha was doing penance for getting a Son, then Shiva gave him his son Andhak to him. As Andhak was because of negative energy so he was very cruel asura.
