The 5 Yamas are Ahimsa or nonviolence, Satya or truthfulness, Asteya or non-stealing, Brahmacharya or chastity, and Aparigraha or non-avarice.

These are a form of moral imperatives and the 5 Yamas are mentioned by Patanjali in the Yogasutra.

There are ten Yamas too and are mentioned in Sandilya Upanishad.

A Copy of the Rig Veda that can be downloaded

Everyone needs to start sending this to Jails in the United States. The Rig Veda needs to start being made available to people who request it when they are in Jail, because right now no one knows where to get it. Also if possible, people need to start ordering the Rig Veda in large quantities and having it sent to Jail Chaplains.

Many people in India have found that after Pilgrimage and Fatherhood, etc, that going and being a Sadhu at the end of all of that is no longer feasible and practical in modern Society. But there are people who can still play that Role of absorbing Society's Bad Karma, and living on Alms and through God. And some of them are in Jail, but they do not know that this Role is available.

They just have to be taught that this Sadhana exists for them.
