The Changunarayan Temple was built in the 4th century during the Lichhavi Dynasty. It is an ancient Hindu temple and also called as Changu Narayan Temple. It is in Nepal, 12 km east of capital city Kathmandu, and dedicated to the Narayan incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is at the top of hills and all around is the forest of Champak tree.

The Changunarayan Temple is considered as the oldest temple in Nepal.
