Formed on 1st November 2000 Chattisgarh is the tenth largest state in India and 17th most populated. It shares borders with Maharashtra in the southwest, Odisha in the southeast, Telangana in the south, Jharkhand in northeast, Uttar Pradesh in the north and Madhya Pradesh in the northwest.
