Which is the most ancient Purana?

The Matsya Purana is considered as one of the oldest or ancient Purana among all the 18 Puranas. There is 18 number of Puranas according to Hindu religion. All are saying about the Trinity (Bhrama, Vishnu and Shiva).

The Matsya Purana mentions about half-human and half-fish avatar of Lord Vishnu. The incarnation is called as Matsya.

The Matsya Purana has described Karma Yoga too. It says without Karma Yoga one cannot get Jnana Yoga. This means Karma Yoga is more important.
