In Hinduism, Shiva is considered the most influential and supreme power among the three deities. He is the most auspicious and worshipped in the form of Linga. This is also called Shiva Linga or Shivling. The Shivlinga is placed at the center of the temple and represents Shiva and Shakti, which means starting of creation. It is a symbol of our origin which tells how we came into existence.
