For a Democracy Uniform Civil code is a must, otherwise it can not be a complete Democracy. Lack of this has resulted in some very Barbaric and Undemocratic rules like the Muslims being allowed to marry 4 wives.
In the western Democracies like USA and UK, they have a uniform code, which is of course based on their Judeo Christian tradition. People from many religions come here and live under this code. So we should also have a Uniform Civil code in India based on our Hindu tradition. The Hindu tradition should be a lot more acceptable to other religions since it is much more respectful of other religions than the Judeo Christian one
