The Konark Temple is dedicated to Hindu Sun God and so it is also called as the Sun Temple. The complex is designed as a giant chariot with 24 wheels and 7 horses. It is about 100-foot in height. Much of the complex is now in ruins. It is said once the temple was about 200-foot high.
