Many people quote text from the scriptures saying even Veds, Manusmriti Promotes Non-vegetarianism. They even quote verses on meat & beef eating.
Ans. YES! YES! YES! Vedas does promote non-vegetarianism but we should understand why does Vedas says so? Please read the post carefully, later comment & use it as a reference when someone quotes you about meat eating from Vedic Scriptures.

Creator Brahma created the Universe under 3 material modes which are Sattvik/Goodness, Rajas/Passion, Tamas/Ignorance & so people would have Tamas/DEMONIC Qualities which would tempt them to feed on Blood/Flesh & this is the only reason due to which few rules ARE MENTIONED IN OUR VEDIC SCRIPTURES. Mellachas quote us Vedic scriptures without even reading what is mentioned in the earlier & later post & would quote us without any knowledgeor understanding about Vedic scriptures. Like Mellachas got few rules for sacrificial practice, a person who does Namaz/prayers for 5 times a day should slit a Goats throat, animals head should be facing North direction, see in the eyes of the Goat & cry for 20 minutes only than the sacrifice is been accepted. Vedas also got few rules & our Vedic Gurus are very much qualified to make us understand those rules.

1) Pet a Goat like a kid, feed him & when he turns old feed on him.
2) Take him far from the house near any Devi maa’s temple for sacrifice.
3) Can consume meat only once a month at the time of Purnima.
4) While slitting the Goats throat see with a feeling of his own child in that Goats eyes, tears should fall from the eyes of the Butcher.
5) Chant a mantra in the animals ears "MAMSA" The word Maans/Flesh derived from Manusmriti - “Mam sah khadati iti mamsah” Meaning - “I am now eating the flesh of an animal who will some day in the future be eating my flesh”

Would anybody chant the word Mamsa in the Goats ear & would accept to get killed in his next life?
Does Veds really promote Non-vegetarianism?

Veds, Manusmriti talks about Sacrificial practise only so that a person would one day stop eating meat, Scriptures are not promoting non-vegetarianism but by laws trying to minimize such IGNORANT Practice.

When some unhealthy child doesn’t take his medicines, mother would bribe the kid with chocolates. Mothers intentions is not to make the kid eats chocolates but medicines. Sameway Ved’s wants the person to turn sattvik/good but bribes them with Chocolates/tamisk sacrificial practise because a Tamsik person following ved’s 100% would one day enter the mode of Rajoguna/Passion, if one follows Rajvik/passion practices from Ved’s would one day become Sattvik/good & the person who follows Sattvik/goodness principles from Veds would one day become GUNARTIRTH/Beyond the 3 modes of material nature, higher than sattvik/goodness mode is gunartirth which neutralise our good/bad karmas & person attains MOKSHA/Liberated from the cycle of life & death.

So if Ved’s talks about meat eating it is true but we should know the truth why does it say so & many of the quotes are misquoted/manipulated by mellachas, specially those which talks about Beef eating in Scriptures, No Scriptures talks about beef eating.

Proofs from our Ved’s about Beef eating prohibited
*Ghrtam duhaanaamaditim janaayaagne maa himsiheeh - Yajurveda 13.49
Do not kill cows and bulls who always deserve to be protected

*Aare gohaa nrhaa vadho vo astu Rigveda 7.56.17
In Rigveda cow slaughter has been declared a heinous crime equivalent to human murder and it has been said that those who commits this crime should be punished.

*Yadi no gaam hansi yadyashwam yadi poorusham Tam tvaa seesena vidhyaamo yatha no so aveeraha Atharvaveda 1.16.4
If someone destroys our cows, horses or people, kill him with a bullet of lead.
